Netscape

AS you all know, Netscape is owned by AOL.
For some time now, Netscape has been crashing me out of Pro-gun websites. A window comes up that says"Netscape has caused an illegal operation. The current program will be closed." I think that the fine folks at AOL have built an anti-gun website censor into the current version of Netscape. I am posting this using Internet Explorer. Has this problem happened to anyone else. I downloaded Netscape version 4.73 just the other day. V4.72 also gave me fits.

I have not had this problem with my Netscape 4.61

I am using Netscape 4.72 and could not get on this site yesterday (Sunday). Could get on other political/gun sites but sloooow.

It is the Congress that enacts the legislation, the President merely signs legislation into Law. Electing a republican or democrat President will do absolutely nothing toward curtailing Congress' unconstitutional disease. Political Parties are a poison to this Republic and Liberty of the people. The reason Americans vote in this Republic is for a citizen who will honor the oath of office, any and every public office across the Republic. The Constitution dictates what the elected can do and cannot do, not We, the (MOB) People. If you believe otherwise then you are mislead about the purpose of the government of this Republic.

In two hundred years after birth, and an eternity before, no one nor any mob in all of history has articulated better ideas for a government (chained) and people (freedom) than our Constitution.

Americans you are losing your freedom from an oppressive government by continuing to elect to public office those who defile their oath of office. And who might those who defile be other than democrats and republicans? Vote third party come November.

You can't be too paranoid but I think that there are enough people watching and looking at all the large companies right now that a block for pro gun sites are a bit far feched. Netscape has and still is open sourced. Some one would notice and blab to the world. Just like the back door they put in windows is out(and there stuff isn't open sourced they had to reverse engineer it for that.) And the supposed NSA key was found in windows as well. Don't worry there are plenty of techies out there that are pro gun too and would love to nail someone for something as stupid as that.

I used Netscape for about four years. After "upgrading" to the latest Netscape about five months ago, I dumped it in favor of Internet Explorer. I was a real supporter of Netscape but it just wouldn't work properly on my my new, state-of-the-art machine no matter how many "fixes" I ran. I even purchased the CD for a clean, new install without success So, dumped everything and now use IE. Everything has speeded up and the internet is a pleasure to use once again. By the way, I use Mindspring as an ISP. Very fast and reliable PLUS 24/7 tech support for free!

Netscape has had some serious stability problems ever since they released the 4.7X versions.
It would be difficult and impractical to build in an anti-gun filter, and there would be no profit motive.
I'm still running 4.61 and its fine, no plans to go to 4.7X series

I have Netscape 4.6 and have the same problem. It freezes up on me alot. I was thinking it was the gun forums too, but then I thought gun forums are pretty much the only forums I hit daily :D. Its just some kind of bug I doubt it has anything to do with guns. I have IE too but I don't like how it doesn't refresh. I prefer Netscape and use it until it freezes, then I switch to IE. Glad to see I am not the only one with this problem.
