Lately I haveeaperienced a ain/tingle in myright hand due rtepeated bumping of my elbow on the armrest. it affects me everywhere especally on serrated triggers , the "irritation"
With my Ruger the operating force is the same all over and the cocking force s very light. the weight also helps dampen the recoil f heavy loads.

And?
That's it?
Well, I must say, you have a lot of nerve leaving us hanging.
:)
Sorry, couldn't help myself.
But I do feel your pain - in my elbow, too.
Hope it gets better.
In the meantime, maybe add padding to your arm rest.
It might help and couldn't hurt.

Arm rest? For Shooting? Now resting your wrist on the pad I can see, but not the arms. Might want to just not use 'arm rests' if you 'tingle' :) . Personally I rarely shoot from the bench, but when I do only my wrists are sitting on anything. Normally this is when chronographing.

Sounds as though you have an ulnar nerve pressure syndrome. As long as you continue to put pressure on the nerve, the symptoms will persist. It is possible that using padding or a skateboarder's elbow protector will prevent this.

Sorry for asking the obvious, but have you seen a Doctor. While you may be 100% correct about the cause of your discomfort you could be mistaken. Also, regardless of what is causing it the Doctor should be able to prescribe some form of treatment or refer you to someone who can.

A physical therapist may be able to help with exercises or a brace like I have for my elbow.

Another possible solution: sell your gun to me so that you don't have that aggravation for your arm/hand.

I am not sure what the problem is. I assume the arm rest is on your shooting bench, but what is actually happening? With more info, including the gun(s) and loads, maybe some of us who have tried various holds can help.
