I don't know what a "survivor" is but I once bought a NEF Handi-Rifle in .223 for my son.
It was crap. At each shot the action would break open and if you didn't have a firm grip on the forearm it would eject the brass right into your eye. The trigger was a basic shotgun trigger - ie: crap.
So anyway, I bought it for $125 and then had to put another $125 into it in gunsmith fees before it was even acceptable. I could have sent it back to the manufacturer but the UPS cost would have rivaled the gunsmith cost and since they had screwed it up in the first place, why bother?
It worked fine after that and was plenty accurate, but NEF won't get any more of my business.
