NEF Pardner pump

Anybody else seen the new NEF 12ga pump shotgun? I just saw an ad in Shooting Times and this thing looks like a direct 870 ripoff. I always like to see new guns on the market but how can NEF copy Remington without infringing in patents? Anybody seen one in person yet?
 
I saw one at Gander Mtn in Harrisburg, Pa a few weeks ago. It didn't seem like a bad gun, but the price should be lower. It was cheaper than an 870 express, but not by much. You could find a used 870 for much less. It wasn't quite as smooth as an 870, but it should get better with use.

I wouldn't buy one. I'd rather get an 870 and know I'm getting a good gun.

I agree with mtnbkr. I read a report on the new NEF and the guy liked it but when was the last time you read a negative report from a gun rag? :rolleyes: I think you would be better off buying American made like the 870 for a little more money instead of the Chinese import copy. :barf:
