NEF Handi-Rifle Questions....

Got me an NEF single shot handi-rifle in .30-06 today. Matte blue, synthetic stock, weaver rail, 22" barrel, sling, and mounts. $200. What kind of groups can I expect to get from this rifle? It is a brand new rifle.

The O.D. of the barrel seems to be fatter than a standard .30-06. Is it?
 
I just purchased a .243 NEF this past year and was able to print under 2" with factory ammo pretty easy. I expect to improve that when I tinker more with reloads. As far as off hand shooting I haven't made up my mind yet about the trigger. It is somewhere between not great but not as bad as some have lead me to expect.

My trigger is pretty stiff too. I bet having the trigger worked down to 4 pounds will probably cut you groups in half.

After the new year, I will take it in for trigger work.
