Hi, I have a new england firearm co. SB1 single shot .410 shot gun and I was wondering if I can shoot .45 long colts through it without having to buy a new barrel.

Not 100% sure, but I don't think you can.

It is real hard to shove a .45 diameter bullet down a bore that is .410 or smaller depending on choke. Things will go BOOM Yes the .45 LC shell will fit the chamber, and in certain guns that are designed for them, they are interchangeable. Thompson/Center Contenders are one such gun.
