Needs for my new GP100

Just got a Gp100 snubbie at a gunshow. Now I need a CC holster, maybe a IWB small of the back holster. Anyone have any recommendations? I am a rather large framed guy. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Markj,

The type holster you use will be driven by your dress style. If you wear some kind of jacket ie sport, suit, uniform than you can handle some amount of weapon exposure. If your like me and wear slacks/jeans and a shirt than you need to complete comcealment. I have tried several different types and the one I like the best is called the Pagerpal. Here is a link to their web page
http://www.pagerpal.com

I usually wear casual, can go with untucked shirt. I do have a ruger p95dc that I wear under the belt on the right hip. This is a BUG kind of situation. I do not want an ankle set up either. I had one years ago and it was not good for all situations as I wear shorts in the summer. It kinda stuck out..... :)

I think an ankle holster works best with small autos, just due to their profile IMHO. :)
I tried one didn't like it. Plus hard to get to if you need it

There is one similar to pagerpal made by Thunderware but its a full around the wist holster : http://www.thunderware.com

Markj, check out Kramer Leather. http://www.kramerleather.com/ Their holsters are not cheap by any means, but the best on the market in my opinion. If you want a paddle (much easier to get on and off quickly and easily), look at their MSP. I have two of these for revolvers and they are the most secure and most comfortable holsters I've ever used.

MARKJ,

When you say a GP100 snubbie, do you mean a 3" or did you pick up a cut down version of a GP100, cut to say 2"-2.5"? If it is the latter I suppose a holster strong side owb for a 3" would be fine. Also, you could try a IWB if it is a short barrel. I wear a 3" OWB, IWB, depending on what I'm wearing and where I'm going. If it is a cut down version of the 3" GP100 and you decide
that it's not for you, I would be interested in buying it from you.
Good luck in your adventure.

It is the 3 in model. I have the ruger p95 for my right hand side waist level so I am looking for something to be a IWD small of th eback thing. I have been looking at a lot of diff holsters and will make up my mind soon I think. Thanks for the interest.
