I have a gun that I know nothing about and have done some research, but know little and can find little info because of the length of the barrel or some other difference in others I have seen. Please help! :) Thanks Also, I am trying to upload pics and it says its too big of a jpeg? any ideas? Its just a regular pic so I don't know why it's saying that. Before I get info on the pic part....the gun is a .22 pistol but appears to have a longer barrel than others that I have tried to research. It says Scout Model on the top. There is a serial# as well on it.

How about a make, or some idea what typ[er of firearm it is (such as "cowboy style" single action revolver, double action revolver, semi-automatic, etc.).

Based on zero information, I'll offer a starting guess that it might be a Colt Frontier Scout. That would look like a cowboy six-gun.

There is a limit to the size of images you can upload here, but not at photo hosting sites like photobucket.com, imageshack.us , etc. The max sizes here are listed on the "Manage Attachments" popup when you are uploading an image.

You can resize a jpeg using any of several available applications such as MS Paint. I use irfanview.com and have had good success with it.

Yah. Email it to me and I'll try to resize it for you. As Mal H says, irfanview is a great program and you can download a really useful version for free.

Oh, and as long as we're guessing, I'm going to guess Iver-Johnson :D.

Looks like it's a Harrington & Richardson. The H&R Trapper model is virtually identical to that, with the exception that all Trappers I have seen have octagonal barrels.
