Needing data for 12 ga. slug loads.

Looking for load data for 12 ga. Forster slugs...355 gr. I ran across a few hundred on the shelf, and would rather find a useful load for them, than melting them down for something else. Ballistic Products does have a booklet, for $15.99, and I'm sure it would be perfectly useful, but for that price, I'd mix these in with linotype and make pistol bullets. Any help would be appreciated.

Are these the 525gr foster slugs?

Try this....LINK

I’ve made some 3” ones that worked pretty well. I could look up my load and post.

Thanks Nathan. The slug I've been using is the 525 gr., and I've used Lyman data for that bad boy. But these are only 355 gr. I don't think I'll try any 3", as the 2 3/4" loads kick a great plenty! In testing once, one of the 525 gr. slugs went through 6 gallon jugs of water, and still retained over half its weight.

Hmmm...what kind of slug is that? Wad slug? I think this will be your issue....what can you buy to hold your slug that holds enough pressure w/o being over pressure. That is the key to the data, imho....I guess charge is important too, but how the round builds pressure is the key to stability.

If your bullet diameter is right, this could help....and they have data...LINK

355 grains is 13/16 ounces or .8 ounces. I'd guess it'd be considered a 7/8 oz slug. 525 would be considered a 1 ounce slug. I think.
Shotgun manuals tending to use ounces vs grains for both shot and slugs. There should be data in your manual.
