I have a S&W 642, but desire something just a tad lighter...with .357 flexibility. Plus, the 642 will probably end up in my daughter's apartment.

The revolver is the S&W 340PD with a Hi-Viz front sight. I will use it for a CCW pocket gun. Opinions desired?

What is a reasonable store price for this?

Thanks, Keko

I've had the 340SC for two years. It's the silver colored version of the 340PD with a standard front sight.

"The beast" carries very easily but it can draw blood. When I practice with it, I use my reloads, shooting gloves, and put a bandaid on my trigger finger. It is definitely a gun that I carry often but I seldom shoot it.

Because of the weight, it is my "always" gun

I have the 340PD and think that it is an awesome gun. Very light and easy to carry. I carry the new Speer .38 Special 135gr +p. It was specifically designed for this gun or type of gun (snubbies). The recoil with this round is not bad at all. You should probably expect to pay in the $600 range for a new one.
