I just picked up a new Taurus pt-945 in a trade.Any feedback
on this pistol would be apreciated such as accuracy, dependability, etc. Also is okay to dry fire this paticular pistol?
Thanks for your help,
John

I traded mine off only because it hammer bit the hell out of me. I had no major problems with it other than that. DA was a little heavy at first but got smoother with time. Mags are n problem at most of the bigger gun shows, leather may be a problem depending on what your looking for. The only thing mine wouldnt feed was 200 grain lead semi wad cutters. Good gun for the money IMHO.

PT-945

I have had one for a couple of years and mine has a ported barrel. The accuracy is as good as my 1911 and it is pretty. The ported barrel smokes the white dot on the front sight.

I've been using my PT945 stainless as my main IDPA pistol for three or four matches now. It fits my hand better than my PT99. As far as accuracy goes, if I do my part it hits where I point. I "put it on paper" right after I got it and had about a 6", 9 shot group at 15 yards. All slightly left and high of center to dead on. I figured that was close enough for IDPA. The only problem I've ever had with it was some reloads using A-MERC brass wouldn't extract. It even feeds 200 gr lead wadcutters. It's the only gun I carry except for S&W M19.

Shoot safe,
Stay safe.

Got the 945 in trade. Here's a pic of one with a EAA. Haven't had a problem yet with it.

I had a pt940...one of my favorite guns of all time. I have a buddy with a pt945..shoots nice, accurate and recoil is less than
my 40 had. The trigger is different...longer pull. Nice gun all in all.
Shoot well
