I plan on putting a B&L Elite 3000 on the Remington 7400 that I recently purchased. (For the carbine loving, open sight/red dot purists -I don't see all that well so I need a scope). Which mounting system do you prefer? I like the idea of quick release i.e. Leopold but it is a bit pricey. I also like the see-through concept. This rifle came with some cheap/cheesy see-through mounts that I removed. Does anyone make high quality, medium height, see-through mounts? I guess the bottom line is- I would like to have quick access to the iron sights, but want optimum scope performance. I've not done any high power rifle hunting so your experiences and suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Atticus, Why don't you give B-Square a call?
They helped me out with the mounts and rings for a Gibbs Enfield I just purchased. They were very helpful with what I needed.
There number is 1-800-433-2909 its a toll free number so it won't cost you anything to call and ask :)

Hope this helps :)
