OK guys I am open for any suggestions! I have just learned that a server by the name of Surf Saver has blocked my web page as Porn! I ask what can be done? Please don't tell me to start practicing 800 yard head shots as that was my first thought. All joking aside what are we going to do with these outfits that can arbitrarily decide you don't have the right to use the web? Naterally it is Anti gun forces. If my sight was Porn I would have the ACLUand the courts out there protecting me but since I have a legitimate business I am at a loss for reaction. Since this is a problem that I have to dedicate a large amount of money to fight Do I have a chance to fight this. I just think that when a person or group can target a company and interfere with the right to do a fair and honest business then we are in deep stuff! I will be waiting for any suggestions

Gale..
Are you sure its an ISP or is it software? I took a guess and went to www.surfsaver.com
and that is a software company making a browser add-on that allows you to save/organize/search your bookmarks.

How did you find out about this? Basically, if its a software filter like Net Nanny, etc...there is nothing you can do, cuz they made with the intent to filter/censor websites. They are also user modifiable.

We had a customer trying to contact us and finally called. It's a software problem from what I gather. I know little of the working of such things. I guess there will be more and more of this kind of crap as the Anti s get their stuff together.

Those new software packages and ISPs one can sign onto to protect your children from all things bad also block gun sites. www.brassroots.org was mentioned in a magazine article as being blocked.

Crosswalk.com, and others spring to mind as products that will block us. I'll bet you couldn't get to FiringLine using those products either.

The cleansing of America. I'll bet all of the liberal political sites are just fine.

Gale, in order to have any sort of case you'd have to get some sort of evidence that they are actually listing your site as porn.

Even then you'd probably have to notify the site that you are not porn, and they are incorrectly classifying you. That doesn't mean they couldn't still block you site, but if they continued to classify it as porn then perhaps you'd have a basis for a slander, or would that actually be libel(?), case.

Even then I'm not sure it would work, but it's worth a try.
