Need info on a Smith & Wesson Model 10-8

Hello,

I found one of these in a 4" at a local gun shop today. It is a older police trade in sent to the dealer from Smith. The blueing is worn around the muzzel but overall the gun looks good.

A friend is wanting one to keep around the house and go plinking with. The out the door price is $141 or so. Is this a good deal?

Looks like it is a model 10-6, not a -8. It is a 4" bull barrel. Here is a picture. What do you think?
