Need info on a S&W 25-2.....

Guys, I need to know what a S&W 25-2 in 45acp (with '1955' stamped inside the cylinder arm) is worth. The gun is in VERY good condition, and has been fired. 6" barrel, blued. Thanks!!! (the guy wants $450)

I LIKE to stay at 400 for used N frames but have been known to go 425/450 if 98%+ w/box and papers. The 6 inch is the newer type with the 6 1/2 commanding a slightly higher
dollar.

If it's a private party I'd offer 400 and see what he says.

Earlier this year I purchased a 6 ½” LNIB with wood case and all accessories, etc. for $465.12 plus tax. Like Dewey, it was a bit more than I usually would consider for an N-frame, but the early model, and as new condition with the case and all the stuff persuaded me to go the extra bucks.
 
A 6.5" P&R gun with the wood box is worth $450 in exc condition. A 6" gun with no box or paper isn't worth more than $350 to me. You can find a 5" 625-2 for that much and as a shooter it is a more desirable gun. My P&R 25-2 won't shoot lead worth a darn, but my 625-2 sure does.
