NEED INFO ON A NEW 44 mag 3in

i purchased a s&w 44 mag 3 in RR WO RB no underlug mod 629-4

SN BRY55**. all S&W factory could tell me was that it was made

in the late 80's

this gun has the front of the cylinder beveled like the mountain guns is that usual

any HELP will be appreciated

yes i have the standard catalog second edition but i can't find it

Sounds like a 629 Backpacker, product code on the box should be 130450. Made in April 94. The SN you list puts it at 94 based on SCOS&W, 2ed. To be absolutely sure get it lettered by S&W.
