I searched around and seen some threads, but a lot of guys talk about the IPSC or USPSA holsters. Is there a list of IDPA approved holsters out there? One guy mentioned a Tucker Champion. Looks nice but I dunno if its IDPA legal. Links and/or pics would be nice.

Look at the rulebook PDF at IDPA.com; it describes holster criteria, though I don't think there's an approved list per se.

The guy who runs IDPA shoots in my area has a small business that specializes in IDPA-ok Kydex holsters. If that interests you, his site is talontactical.com

A lot of holster makers indicate in their catalog if a given holster is IDPA-legal. The rule book has detailed descriptions of what features a legal holster should have, and what features make a holster unsuitable.
I used a kydex Blade-Tech belt holster for years, but have recently changed to a Davis Gunsite Omega; it's fast, and smells a lot better than plastic.

MLeake is correct there is no approved list for holsters in IDPA. Just about any leather holster suitable for CC will work as well as most Kydex as long as there is no gaps at the belt line. As suggested look at the rule book and see about holsters.

All IWB holsters are approved.

I have 2 holsters - leather and plastic.

The leather unit is a DillonLTD from the '90's and the plastic unit is a Blackhawk CQC.

I uise the CQC single mag pouches too.

I have a Tucker Champion, and it is legal for IDPA. Balde-tech and Comp-tech are two good name brand holsters. They have IDPA legal paddle and belt OWB holsters.

i borrowed a friends blade tech today and it was pretty smooth. I didnt like how it scuffed the finish on my SS pistol. Another guy said the CompTac offers a bit nicer holster...
Gregjc9- How does your Tucker draw? Does the leather lining hinder draw speed any? Also, I cant find a "Tucker Champion". I only see the Tucker First Strike. Throw me a link to the site?
I'm ordering a holster this week. So I need some last minute specifics. Thanks.
