I have always done my reloading inside my house , but now I will have to do it in my garage . I need some Ideas for a reloading bench that I can keep out of sight behind doors away from prying eyes . I only have 16 " from the side wall to the garage door track , but it can be 7' long I need something I can setup 2 Dillon 650s and a RCBs Rock chucker , and keep them out of sight from the neighbor next door.

TIA

Thank you very much for the quick reply , and help . I want something I can keep set up , but when not in use I can keep it out of sight behind some type of doors .

Keep the garage door closed?
String up a curtain that you can slide out of the way when using. (I did something like that when my safe was in my garage in one house.)
Place black garbage bags over the machines, no one will know what they are.

I assume this is because of children (aka neighbor) ?

Got to Home Depot/get a wooden trunk/drill the top for the press/wing nuts for fast install/spin tight.
Keep everything (press/tools/powder/scales/primers/components) inside/locked when not in use

If you want it to stay set up and not be seen when you open the door ...I would hang a couple of window blinds or roller shades from the ceiling at the edge of the bench/ garage door track. When you need to load, pull the chord. When your done, let it back down.

Without knowing what your garage looks like it’s hard to tell what would look appropriate vs out of place. In my garage I’d just throw an old bed sheet over the press when not in use and it’d match the old sheet covering my motorcycles for the winter.

My reloading stuff is still packed in boxes , and I don't want to remove from the boxes until I can mount it out of sight , so can anyone tell me how deep my bench top needs to be to mount a Dillon 650 ,with the case feeder ?

Thank you for the help , and the link . That one is 24" deep , Not bad . I wounder if I can get by with one 16" deep . I don't have anymore space than that between the wall and the garage door track .

When I had one of my houses, my presses were mounted along the side wall; I just covered them with black garbage bags; you couldn't tell what they were.

The one the other member made up is very practical in that when not in use he can lock it all up and keep out the unwanted. This guy loads lots and shoots weekly and he doesn't complain of being cramped.

I'm fortunate in that being empty nesters with a 4br. home I was able to claim an empty upstairs bedroom and turn it into my "gun" room.

I may have to do that . Do you know how deep I have to make the bench , to mount the 650 with the case feed . I don't want the press to stick out past the front edge of the bench >

Thank you for your help . I'm fortunate in that being empty nesters with a 4br. home I was able to claim an empty upstairs bedroom and turn it into my "gun" room. I was able to do that before , but things have changed .

I don't have a Dillon 650, but my Google-fu turned up 14" wide and 19" deep 41" tall. Your garage door is probably set for a little under 7' to the track, unless you have extra tall garage door. It may not fit there with the bench at a comfortable standing position. Possibly at the end of the bench, if the handle doesn't rub the wall. But then you might not be able to use the cartridge catching tray properly. You may want to unpack the press and get some good measurements before deciding.

Big Al , Thank you for the help . Height is not a problem . I have 8' from the floor to the door , with the door open . From the wall out is where I don't have much room .

Mine is in the garage against a side wall, I don’t care about trying to conceal it. Somebody could see it and decide that guns are in the house to steal or a would be thief could see it and decide that their might be softer targets for him other than the guy that loads his own rounds...:D
