Need ID help

Can someone tell what model this is. I bought it a few years ago and really like it. It is very accurate. Caliber is .44 Magnum.

Never mind I found the model number while looking for the serial number. It's a 29-3.

Even if it's no longer the most powerful handgun, (and Dirty Harry will have to just get over it), it still has to be one of the most identifiable.

Darn I also knew that one! I think it is still the most powerful hand gun. Anything more powerful should be classified as a hand cannon or hand artillery.

Sorry guys. My friend had a 357 magnum i think it was a 626 or 629 I realy enjoyed shooting that one also. these S&W revolvers are a pleasure to shoot.

That'd be the Model 627 or possibly a 681/686 - the M626 is a.44 Special, & the 629 is a .44mag.
