Need a good inexpensive holster for a Sig P220 and a 1911. I'd like to stick to the same design for both guns just to make it simple. Should I go battle or belt? I know that Fobus and Galco make some in the $20 range, are those particular cheaper ones decent? Thanks fellas.

is it for CC or OC?

For IWB I like the Comp-Tac Minotaur MTAC. http://www.comp-tac.com/product_info.php?products_id=95&osCsid=j2gpv3of7324vsbqj6jthe24h3

For OWB I prefer an open top pancake holster. I have a Desantis mini slide and the combat master from galco.

The best advice I can give you is to not skimp on a holster. You will wind up with a drawer full of cheap holsters.

A good gun belt is a must as well. It makes a world of difference when carrying for long periods of time.

Sorry about that, for OWB. Just something for at the range. Also, the 1911 is 5".
Those look nice, but $70-80 is more than I'd like to spend.

I have a Banchi accumold. I have used it for my Taurus 92, Sig 220 and 226 (9 and 40), HK usp 9f. 40f and 40c. It is a OWB design the snaps onto your belt and has the option to remove both part of the thumb strap. The back panel is all velcro to adjust for different size guns. I have adjusted it to fit hammer back and forward too. I will send you a pic if you are interested. I think I bought it for either $24.99 A LONG WHILE AGO.

simple 1911-SIG P220 .45acp holsters...

If you are right handed check into the Blackhawk SERPA model; www.blackhawk.com . The simple polymer design w/o the security features is very fast and runs around $30.00.
The basic kydex Blade-tech line; www.blade-tech.com could do well. If you use right handed holsters, they sell 1911A1 & SIG models that work like the Blackhawk line. These holsters run around $28.00.

If you plan to use the holster for field/range work, I'd also suggest the useful Bianchi M-12 or UM92II series nylon holster. These rigs sell for $50-60.00 but are very practical & can be used in different ways(tanker, shoulder, belt, crossdraw, etc). I bought a black UM84R in 2006 for my Ruger GPNY .38spl revolver. They metal belt hooks can be annoying but the ambi design is great for different belts/uses. www.Bianchi-intl.com
