I have a 2.5" S&W 686. Any suggestions on where I could get an OWB holster, paddle or belt looped, without a thumb-break? I like Kydex but leather is fine also. Thanks.
I market a leather clip on holster that is what you are describing for $30, including shipping. However, I feel the holsters only draw back is the fact that it does not have a thump break or any other type of device to secure the gun in the holster. Personally, I think a holster needs something to secure the gun. I've asked the manufacture to employee a thumb break to no avial.

PS This is a Gear & Accessories forum question for future reference.

Chad, I'd like to but have to admit that I haven't even talked with Son about it since his offer.
In my defense Terri and I are building a new house and we have had little time for anything of late. As soon as we can get some pic's together we will confer with Son and see what we can come up with.
As I told e'ville, our leather holsters do not offer any method to secure the the gun in the holster. I do not like this and think it is a major safety issue. I've worn one of our clip on, molded leather holsters at shows and never feel like the gun is as secure as it should be. (Not the best advertisment for the holsters I sell, but honest.) I used to wear an IWB with no thumb break and felt it was safe. But to have the gun and holsrter clipped on the out side it just doesn't seem secure enough to me. Our leather holsters are also unlined. While this aids in forming a tighter mold to the gun it is not ideal for the guns finish.
I now wear one of our elastic concealment rigs exclusively and swear by them. I always hesitate to say much here on TFL about them to avoid sounding too much like advertising. But, in truth aside from making money off of the sale of the holsters I feel I am doing a service to anyone who carries concealed. I have carried concealed for over twenty years and these are the best concealed, most comfortable rig I have found.
