Need Help!!!

Went to the range today with my Colt Defender and a HiPoint carbine-both in 45 ACP. One or two rounds out of a mag wouldn't feed in either weapon. Tried some in my friends Remington and had the same problem. Everything was normal when the rounds did feed. I'm using 185 LSWC coated bullets from Missouri Bullets. This is the third or fourth box of 500 and I never had this problem before today. I'm wondering if the OAL is incorrect even though my die setting hasn't changed. Any ideas?

Couple or three things to check:

Look closely at the case mouth on the ones that don't feed. Sometimes
a little ring of lead will stack up there that will prevent the case from
fully entering the chamber. Maybe a little more case flare?

Save a few that don't feed, and do the plunk test. I've had 45's that were
throated so short that any kind of a wadcutter, and most cast lead bullets
wouldn't seat if there was the least little bit of shoulder ahead of the case mouth. Maybe your seating die has backed off a bit?

If you are several hundred into your current recipe, have changed no components and nothing has worked loose---it's going to be some tiny thing.
When is the last time you cleaned your seating die? They do get mucked
up with cast lead lubed bullets.
