need help

Thank you for the information. I thought the barrel should come right out after removing the nut an lock washer. I bought a well used 422, looked like it had never been cleaned. After I striped it down and cleanend it , it worked perfect, fed and ejected just fine, but it was off about nine inches to the left at 25 feet and after moving the rear sight almost all the way out of the dove tail I got it to shot to poa, just don't look right right with the sight over that far. I thought about replacing the barrel, thanks again, Jim.

I doubt a new barrel will correct that, and you'd be out a significant amount of money in any case.

In this situation, I'd send the gun in to S&W for a factory fix.
If it's a factory defect, they'll usually repair it free.

A new barrel EVEN IF you can find one will cost at least $70.00.
