You could get a lighter spring for the gun, but the smaller the slide the stronger the spring needs to be in order to function properly. You can probably get a spring that is a few pounds lighter, but i don't know what the consensus is on a lower weight that will function properly.
I know that Springfield has been kind of slow about letting people buy parts from them direct, but Wolf probably has a spring for it.
