I have a Ruger Ultra-Lite MK-II rife. I need to replace the scome with a 40-45mm. This will require HIGH RINGS. I can not afford $45 for Ruger rings. Will Weaver rings or any others work HELP???

I would have sworn that I'd already answered this post. Millet makes excellent Ruger rings. Check 'em out at Brownell's and Midway.

Thank you very much for the information on Millett rings.

No. to my knowledge you have not given me this information before but it is much appreciated. I E-Mailed Millett tonight for a catalog and other information.
Thank you,

You might also want to check out the Burris `Signature' series line up of rings. The `Posi-align' feature is well worth it alone not to mention that they are also a danged good product to begin with.

You can get the Millet Ruger rings from either Brownell's or Midway. You can also get the Burris rings from both places, but I don't know if Burris makes Ruger rings.

Madison, If you return the rings that came with the rifle to Ruger they will exchange them free of charge - whatever they make: 30mm rings, stainless, extra high, etc. I've done this myself several times, takes about 3-4 weeks to get your new rings. All you pay is the two bucks or so it takes to mail the rings to Ruger (I think they ask that you send $5 for S&H but I never have and they still always send me the new rings).

I've used the Millett, Burris, and Warne rings for Rugers, the real Ruger Rings are still the best IMO. After that I'd go with Burris, their Ruger ring is pretty nice. Warne rings are excellent but even more expensive than real Ruger rings. I haven't had good luck with Millett, the ring is well made but I don't like the way they attach - the tiny screws they use can be easily over-torqued and broken. -- Kernel
