I don't currently have a .22 handgun and would like to buy a Kadet or Kadet kit for my CZ's. BUT, i'd really like to buy a 4in. GP100 to accompany my 6in.. You know, 2 is 1 and all that. I'd also like to buy something railed and a CZ Shadow would fit that roll very well. The Shadow might possibly be my duty gun one of these days. I know the majority is going to recommend the .22 but I wanted to ask anyway.

I just purchased a CZ-75 Kadet,,,

Of course I am going to recommend what I own,,,
That's the nature of the beast you know.

But, I do so with hearty abandon because I absolutely love this pistol.

So far I have put 450 rounds through it,,,
Without one hiccup of any kind.

I started with 100 rounds of Mini-Mag,,,
Then 50 rounds of Centurion LRN,,,
A truly dirty ammo by the way,,,
Then 50 Federal bulk pack,,,
Then 50 Rem bulk pack,,,
200 more of Centurion.

This pistol has performed flawlessly!

I bought it and a 9mm 75B at the same time,,,
A bit pricey in one chunk but it was money well spent.

Drink the CZ Kool-Aid my friend,,,
Bathe in it and be happy. :D

The Kadet adapters work great and are quite accurate, If you get one, get a modified UpLula loader (DenStinett@aol.com) as loading the magazines by thumb is a real chore.

The Kadet is a blast to shoot, and shooting cheap 22LR will quickly save you enough money to buy your Ruger.

Ruger .327Federal GP100 or Real Guns Are Wheel Guns...

If it were my $$$, I would look into a NIB(new in box) GP100 in blue or stainless in the new .327Federal round, ;).
Either the 4" or 6" would do well for target or home protection, field use.

Ive owned NIB SP101 & Ruger GPNY .38spl revolvers(DA only).
Ruger DA revolvers are great. Every US gun owner should have one for their handgun battery.

midlandwalther,

Nice pistol, but you wouldn't catch one of those *^#^($& speedwrenches touching one of my guns. ;)

Always been a 357 fan but a4'' 327 GP100 would be a nice change My 2 cents

Sounds like an interesting cartridge but I actually stock .38 and .357.. I've been trying to stick to "common" cartridges but I keep getting tempted with rounds like the .357sig. My pops has 3000rds. of Win. Ranger Hp's and keeps on asking if I want some. So tempting!

At today's ammo prices, I would opt for the Kadet kit. Gives you the option of practcing with the CZ for less money....money you can save for future purchases.

H&K P7 Trust me you will not regret that firearm. It will probably become one of if not your favorite very quick. I had the pleasure of shooting on at a range P7 M8, and it is the smoothest shooting 9mm. Its low bore axis allows for rapid follow ups. Great piece.

Update-Purchase made!

Well, I put an order in through CZ-USA for a Kadet. Should be here by the end of the week. I also have about enough to get either a Ruger GP100 or some work to my main CZ.

You won't be sorry,,,

The Kadet is definitely going to replace one of my .22 semi-auto's,,,
It's a great performer and I really like shooting it,,,
Accuracy with it will come from practice.

I'll be keeping the Ruger 22/45,,,
It is just too dang much fun to shoot,,,
And it's the pistol I shoot best with right now.

I'm selling the Beretta NEOS,,,
It's a great little pistol as far as performance goes,,,
But for some reason I just never warmed up to it like the Ruger.

my choice

I personally think the h&k p7 in .22 is a nice glockish looking gun but would probably get boring quickly. Also it would not be a good gun for plinking because of its heavy trigger pull.

Good choice, you won't regret the Kadet kit. I have a red dot on mine for even more fun. The slide doesn't move so you can just drill and tap for a weaver mount.
