need help with loose flash suppressor on M-14 rifle

I have a M1A type rifle that was manufactured by Federal Ordnance (I know).
But, the rifle does have mostly TRW parts including barrel and bolt.

The flash suppressor is slightly.

Is it simply a member of unscrewing the locking screw and tightning the suppressor. Will I need a special tool?

Many thanks!

Undo the little angled locking grub screw.
(needs a hex key)
Tighten the castle nut (Needs castle nut pliers)
Tweak positioning to allow grub screw to go back into recess in castle nut.
The nut controls tension, not the supressor itself.

If you have side-to-side play you will need to lightly peen the three spline grooves on the barrel. It doesn't take much force to displace the metal to slightly close the grooves.

Remove the flash suppressor by first removing the tiny allen screw accessed at the bottom of the hole just below the front sight blade as viewed from the muzzle. Then unscrew the castle nut in the flash suppressor window. The three spline grooves will be evident once the flash suppressor is removed.
