Need help with Italian revolver

I would like to know details about the Renato Gamba Trident revolver. This is a good looking gun, very very (a copy?) similar to Colt's Detective Special. It's 2.5 inches barrel, 6 shot .38 special. Is this a good revolver? Accurate? Strong? Any idea how it compares with S&W revolvers (my reference is a Chief's Special) ?
The one which was offered to me has a safety behind the hammer - it seems like a good thing to me...opinions?
Appreciate your help/comments. I like the gun, but do not want to get a lemon...
Best regards/Ignacio

Never heard of it or seen one in person. Looking at your photo, the gun appears to be a little on the cheap side. But who knows? I am guessing it is much less in $$$ than a Colt.

Gun looks better than the photo.....

...in fact looks very well made, as it should, coming from an italian shotgun manufacturer. It is my understanding that Renato Gambas' shotguns are of very good quality......hope that could be extrapolated to their revolvers. By the way, the photo comes from their website.
Best,
Ignacio

I've seen pix of it various places, especially in European sources. It does seem to be based on the Colt Det. Spcl.
