From a late relative, avid collector/amateur gunsmith I inherited what looks like a somewhat custom project. it seems complete minus the stock. The action is stamped Interarms Mark x, Manchester, England, with a stamp underneath on the rear that says Zastava, Yugoslavia. the barrel is 26 inches, vented, stamped .358 Norma Mag, and RH/681 on the bottom. Can anyone tell me anything about this or what type or where I can acquire a stock?

Any stock for a large ring 98 Mauser will fit. You just need to inlet for the safety lever . Nice caliber , a real thumper , perfect for Elk and other fauna with broad shoulders .

Those actions have been imported for years under several different names. They are good solid actions and have been used for many custom builds. You will often find rifles with Charles Daly, Parker-Hale as well as Interarms stamped on them. Remington used to import them and had Remington 798 stamped on them. All are the same action.

I have a custom 338-06 built on one and can vouch for their quality. Years ago I had a factory Interarms in 7mm Rem mag. Another good rifle.
