Need help with a left hand O/U

I've been looking at O/U shot guns lately in the $1,000 to $1,200 price range, but everyone I've looked at seems to be cast-off for a right handed shooter. I shoot left handed, and a cast-off shot gun doesn't aim naturally for me.

Can anyone recommed a left hand friendly O/U 12 ga. shotgun? No cast at all would be fine. I've looked at Browning and Franchi so far.

I already have a couple left hand semi-autos, and always wanted an over and under.

Might I suggest an SKB 685, or 885 in used condition. I find them to have a smoother trigger and that they reset at a lower FPS range than the Browning. In your price range I think that you would be happy with either one of the two. I have never been overly impressed with the Franchi.

Browning makes a left-handed version of the Citori. They occasionally show up on Gunbroker.com, etc. But, they will be more than your budget.

Guerini also makes LH stocks, but they will also be more than your budget. On shotgunworld.com, there is a LH subforum(way down the page). Someone there might have an idea. As a LH myself, it is frustrating........

Thanks for the tips. I checked out Shotgunworld, and found some good information. I also handled an SKB a few weeks ago, but it was a right hand stock. I do like the SKB's, so I'll check out a few more.

Have you tried a Ruger Redlabel? I have one, and although I am a righty, my sister and one of my other friends are both lefty's and they shoot it with no problems whatsoever.

Many of the Browning O/U's are cast neutral - especially the older ones prior to any palm swells showing up on their guns ( especially in what is now the Lightning series ).

I happened to run into a guy at my club yesterday that just picked up 4 guns in the Ultra XS series ( he bought a set of them, 12, 20, 28 and .410 ) - they're probably about 10 - 15 years old. The XS series of guns went thru some name changing / but as far as I know the Ultra XS is virtually the same gun as the current XS Skeet series.

In the newer Citori lineup - there is the 525, 625 series in left handed models and you might find a used one around, especially in the 525, with the newer 625 out now for over a year.

Browning USED to make neutral stocks, (maybe a little toe out), you might want to look for a stock that might work or get it bent or reshaped to your dimensions
