i have a shot gun thats side-by-side, hammer less. it was made by riverside arms in chicopee falls mass. usa, the pat was placed apr/20/1915, its serial number is 38721 and on the under side of the barrels theres an H, and on the bottom of he action their is an I. can i have help getting more info on this shotgun? it needs wuite a bit of work done, it needs gone over entirely to get it back to fireing condition.

ok that gave me some new info about the gun. would anyone have a price range to get an overhaul on the gun? im gonna get it fixed for my dads christmas present.

Does it need the wood refinished and the barrels reblued, or just a good cleaning.

The following is just off the top of my head.

Rebluing could run $300 or $400 or more depending on how much metal polishing it needs and who you get to do the work - name guy vs. local guy for instance. Refinishing the wood could run, I don't know, $200 way on up and more if there is checkering to be recut.

If you're just talking a good cleaning and replacing some parts it should be much more reasonable...if you can find the parts.

Got any pics?

John

im talking about a full over-haul, because. one firing pin keeps falling back inside, the other is bent but still fires, and the stock will splinter if another shot is fired out to the gun. if the stock wasnt gonna kill me id be shootin it off.
