Got this in with other guns on a trade for a car. Remington 700 SS detachable mag .338 win mag factory muzzle break? Only thing I can find that it might be discontinued 700? Any help would be great also have a Mosin Nagant 1934/48 MO and serial # in red paint? Thank you

You already have the important information. The detachable magazine models were not as popular and never really took off. I'm not exactly sure when made, but want to say late 90's, early 2000's. Good enough guns as long as you don't lose the magazine. Finding another could be challenging and expensive

There is a date code on the barrel on MOST rifles. There was a brief period during part of 1999-part of 2001 where Remington did not date stamp them. If yours does not have the date code on the barrel you'll need to call Remington.

My cousin purchased a SPS SS in the late 90's in 7mm Rem Mag. It did not have the muzzle brake but did have engraving on the action. Other than that they look identical including the detachable magazine.

Magazines are available from Remington. My son put this setup on his ADL a couple years ago and had no problem finding the bottom metal assembly or the mags.
