I'm looking to help a friend re-finish a savage arms model 29b 22cal. The stock and the fore-grip are cracked, any suggestions on where to look for unfinished furniture?
There's an original 29A stock on Ebay right now. (Fits the 29B.)
Western Gun Parts may have something.
And, if all else fails, you can bondo the stock to get the (original) shape desired, and send it off to be duplicated. There are hundreds of places around the country that duplicate stocks. Some specialize in using high end woods, but others will cut pretty much anything you want.
