Need help locating a replacement bolt

I posted in the rifle forum, but did here as well as I don't know which place is more applicable. But anyway -

I came into an old Savage 340A bolt action in .30-30. The rifle is in fair condition, and I figure it will be a good Jeep or quad rifle for where I live. The only problem is the rifle does not have a bolt, although it looks like everything else is there and in working condition.

Where is a good place to look for a replacement bolt? Keep in mind, the value on the rifle is probably fairly low, so I don't want to pay a ton to get a replacement.

All suggestions and ideas welcomed. Thanks.

e-parts does in fact list everything needed for the 340A. Unfortunately, I found them almost a year ago and they have never had the bolt in stock and cannot say when they might get one in.

I would love to just find an ebay deal, since I have a feeling that the bolt (if purchased from somewhere like e-parts - nearly $90) might end up being worth more than the actual rifle. Its a neat old gun, kinda big, kinda clunky, but nice iron sights and a good stout feel to it. If I can put it back in limited action for little $$$, I will gladly do so.

Otherwise, it might just end up being something worth trading somebody for something else I might actually need.

Any other ideas than e-parts?

Many moons ago, I fell into the trap of buying some incomplete guns with the idea that I could easily get parts. Ha! None were worth much, even complete and working, and I finally sold them at a loss to some other sucker who was sure he could get parts.

No more of that. It has to be an exceptional deal before I will even look at an incomplete gun, unless I KNOW I can get or make parts. That includes magazines, which are often unobtainable for some of the old shotguns, though most pistol mags are available at least as repros.

The Savage 340's are actually going for pretty good prices, $225-300 on Gunbroker last time I looked. I just bought one in .30-30 myself.
