I am fighting the urge to go with 'You get what you pay for' I'm looking at 2 Smith Wesson Model 586's. One is $200 higher than the other, so whatdaya think???

This is a 586-3 in near new condition original blue, revolver looks unfired. Original factory combat wood grips are mint. Adjustable rear white outline sights, red ramp front.
Smooth target trigger and 4" barrel.Revolver is very tight and times perfectly.
(Box and papers missing.) Buy Now Price $375.00

A 586-7. These were limited production guns made this year by S&W. Featuring a 4" bbl., blue steel finish, round butt grip-frame, 7 shot cylinder and adjustable sights. They no longer make these!

These are brand new guns, straight from the S&W factory. It will arrive "fresh in the box"! Starting $599.00.

I don't really care much about limited editions, I'm just looking for a good 586.

So lay it on me, time is important.... :D

I feel your pain on trying to make a decision.I have been trying to find a 586 for 2 years and haven't found one yet. :) I even tried to trade a guy my almost new 686 for his 586 but he said NO. :(

I would go with the 586-3 if you don't care for the limited production gun because of the price.

I found a used 586-3 in good shape execpt for the rear sight is broke. I think I can get the gun for $200.
