My son-in-law recently acquired a .22 bolt-action rifle that we are trying to identify (sorry, no photo). Description:
The magazine is a removable box-type
The fore stock is grooved
The stock is recessed to receive the bolt knob when folded
The bolt knob is knurled and hollowed out
The rear sight is adjustable and the blade folds
The safety is a swinging Mauser-type
On top of the receiver, immediately in front of the sight, are the following (and only) markings:
UMC 2
1972
U-2851
Thanks all.
