Does anyone know where I can find a safety for my Bernardelli USA model? It has been out of commission for about 4 years now and I can't find the part anywhere. It is the safet lever that bolcks the firing pin and it also retains the firing pin. Numrich has about all the parts except this one. I believe the steel used in it was sub-par or either tempered too high to begin with.
Should I have one machined out of something softer,if so,is there anyone to be recommended? There are no real gunsmiths left in this part of Alabama(believe it or not),so I would most likely have to have it done somewhere and shipped back. I still have the original for reference,but I have no idea what to pay for something like that. I don't want more in the safety than I had in gun itself.
