A coupla things, which you may know already,GB.

That Manhattan Arms shotgun is NOT a shooter. Shotguns and grenades have the same working pressures. Even lighter loads made today are a good 50% higher pressure than what it made for, about a century ago.

As for that Savage, these are delightful little woods guns, tho all the ones I've seen were 24s, not 245s. Both the 22 bbl and the shotgun bbl with slugs were more accurate than expected on one I had many years ago. I Brenneked a deer or two with the 20 gauge bbl, by happy chance it shot to the same POI at 40 yards as the 22 did with my ammo of choice at the time. A great fun, truck and trunk gun.

Matter of fact, that little 24 was LOTS of gun for the money.

HTH...

Thanks Harley, I will habe to look into that more, looks interesting.

Dave - I know absolutely nothing about these two guns! Although I assumed I shouldn't shoot the older one. The Savage was my Papa's, and I was looking to give it to my oldest son ( will be 6 on Monday ), someday. It looks and shoots pretty good. Thanks for the info.
