Need help finding factory recoil spring for CZ 75B Omega

I’m sure the standard 75B and the Omega all use the same recoil spring, but I thought I might as well be specific.

Unlike a Glock recoil spring and guide rod, I’m having a hard time finding a regular old “factory” recoil spring for my 75B Omega.

Where can I find one?

What weight should I buy?

What weight is the normal factory weight?

Can I and should I “upgrade” the guide rod to a metal one? The plastic one seems good.

Thanks to anyone who can offer some guidance!

The recoil spring weight for a 9mm is 14 lbs., but lighter or slightly heavier weights also work well.

CZ USA also has a site store which offers some parts, and both CZ Custom and Cajun Gun Works offer other parts and upgrade equipment. I suspect there are other sites and spring makers that also offer CZ recoil springs, and places like Brownells and MidwayUSA are places to look, as well.

The first two listed below will probably be your best sources for parts, and the third offers mostly springs.

CZ Custom: https://czcustom.com/cz-parts-all.html

Cajun Gun Works: https://cajungunworks.com/product-category/75-b/page/3/

Wolff Springs: https://www.gunsprings.com/CZ/75%20Series/cID1/mID16/dID91

I've found that the recoil springs offered by Wolff Springs for CZs are really for Witness/Tanfoglio models. These springs have a larger diameter than stock CZ recoil springs, but work well.
Wolff's Browning Hi-Power recoil springs are the same size as the CZ factory recoil springs, and there is a range of weights available. You'd still want to start with a 14 lb. spring, regardless.

You can upgrade the full-size model's guide rod to metal, but there's no real advantage to doing so. Do NOT to order a full-length guide rod if you do decide to upgrade, as it won't work in the standard 75B full-size models -- there's no opening on the front of the slide to allow it to function.

Yea I would & did go with meal guide rods & new springs from wolf springs on all my CZ'S. IMO thats the way to go.
