Need help finding a holster for CC

I have a S&W 910S and would like to start carrying it. I have a Fobus paddle holster that I like a lot but is not good for concealed carry, particularly in the summer in Mississippi.

I have done my research and found that most of you who carry perfer in the waistband holsters and I think that this would be ok for me as well. What holster style/brand would you recommend for my situation? I generally wear jeans and button-up or polo style shirts and would like to be able to tuck my shirts in for work.

I have been in the market for a more dedicated concealed carry gun but for now, I think that even a nice holster may be a better option - at least for my wallet.

Thanks,

Durham

Not sure about your specific model, but I have had really good experience with Nate at UBG holsters.

Give him a try. Small, one-person operation that really understands customer service. If he can help you, he will. I have one of his holsters and I need to order anther before he becomes mega famous and I have to wait six months for a holster...

try a kholster or a supertuck

I carry my Ruger SR9c in a Kholster (crossbreed supertuck clone) IWB, and I can wear pretty much anything in my existing wardrobe - including my t-shirts - with it and you would never be able to tell. The disadvantage to an IWB is you really need an undershirt to make it comfortable, but man, they conceal really well. I just got a Serpa (similar to the Fobus as far as how it is worn) and it doesn't conceal for SH**. I would have to wear some pretty darn big shirts to cover that up.

Edit - oh, and the Kholster comes with a 90 day money back guarantee. Cut it up, trim it, whatever... if you don't like it, he'll take it back.

I carry my glock 19 primarily OWB with a Bianchi black widow. Normally I have on a loose fitting short sleeve or possibly long sleeve rolled-up button shirt, and if it's a pattern it conceals just fine. When I'm wearing a polo shirt or something like that I have a blackhawk IWB holster that works pretty well too. I also have an El Paso leather IWB but it isn't as comfortable. The nice thing about the blackhawk is that I can take the gun out while driving and leave the holster in comfortably, then put the gun back in when I get out of the truck.

I'm familiar with the Mississippi summers. I live in south MS.

I live in southern Florida, so I know something about heat, as well. My Glock 26 rides in a DeSantis Inner Piece. It has a little tongue of leather that rides along the belt line and nicely stabilizes the rig. It is not a holster that has caught on really well, but I like mine and I wear it with everything from suit and tie to shorts with various sorts of tail-out shirts.

I'll have to second the Crossbreed Supertuck. Great holster. Mine is super comfortable and is the most concealable holster I've ever worn.

On all my IWB leather holsters I super glue felt(from any hobby store) to the side that will touch skin and the inside of the belt loops. Comfortable to wear, no more leather squeeking. May not look great but you will be the only one seeing it. Hope this helps.

I have a new Crossbreed holster and belt that I am offering for sale because I found with my arthritic hips I can't tolerate the added weight around my waist. It is for a S&W 3913 which might be pretty close to your model in size. If interested contact me at rrockefe@cox.net.
