Need help finding a holster for beretta.

I purchased a beretta 92 a1 and I love it on and off the range. But I have been unsuccessful in finding a holster (preferably open topped) to do some holstering at the range. I read on some other forum saying that forbus makes one that fits. Although their website says that it Fits Beretta Vertec, 92/96 with rails (except A1 models). ***. I need some suggestions here. Websites to check out, or models to research. Anything helps. Thanks TFL

If you're on a budget, I highly recommend the Don Hume 721OT. I've had two and they work very well.

The Fobus plastic bolsters have too much retention, doesn't make for reliable draws. A decent kydex such as Blade Tech would also be a very good option.

Google gun holsters and you will see many manufacturers. I am sure many of the larger companies will make one for the 92A1. De Santis makes one I know, Galco does not.

If this is just going to be a range holster, then Theis, or Crossbreed, those styles are IWB and prolly not the most ideal.

Beretta model holster selections...

The big problem with the post here is knowing exactly what type or model Beretta 92 9x19mm model it is.
Some styles or holsters may NOT fit the 1913 rail/Brigader style pistols.
Always check the model first before buying. Minor changes or modifications are common both in the firearms & holster industry.

For general range or protection use(s), I'd suggest the great Blackhawk SERPA or the Safariland AFS/SFS. Safariland rigs are very popular with military troops & sworn LE agencies.
