I am in the market for a accurate bolt action 223. I am currently leaning towards a tikka t3 lite or a savage model 11 bth. Any experience with those or other options would be appreciated thanks

Welcome to TFL!

What will it be used for?

Hunting:
I have a Tikka T3 Lite in .308 and it's my go-to hunting rifle every year for deer season. Very accurate and great trigger. Light weight barrel make it a light rifle and also make it heat up more quickly if shooting a lot.

Target/Range/Varmint:
I have a Savage 10FCP that I use for this. Heavy barrel so it doesn't heat up as quickly when firing a lot of rounds in succession and lends itself to better repeated accuracy.

Beat me to it! How you will use it is pretty important in making a good recommendation. I will highly recommend just about anything that starts with "Savage" (as do many other people on this forum). Never shot a Tikka before, I know they have a pretty good name on here too.

both are very accurate & reliable, without knowing purpose of the rifle I would handle both & see witch is the most comfortable to you and fits your needs. Good luck with your choice.

Well mostly be used for target shooting bench and non.and coyote shooting. is the t3 more accurate than the model 111 tbh?? Thanks

They will both be about equal in the accuracy department, but if you are using it for target shooting and such, I would look into a heavy barrel rifle. The light profile barrels on both the rifles in your OP will heat up very quick and accuracy repeatable accuracy/shots will go out the window...

I can heartily recommend the Tikka as well. Stellar trigger and smooth as butter bolt.
If you are talking more bench and target time than hunting, check out their Varmint model.
