Need help deciding which pistol to buy

I currently have a Glock 27. I am very happy with it. I took my wife to shoot it and she likes it and is comfortable with it. So now it is hers. Now I need to find a replacement for me. I am getting my concealed permit soon so I would like a gun that is about the same size as the 27. I also really like the 40 S&W. Any recommendations on what to buy? I am tempted to buy another 27 but it just seems weird having two of the same guns, I need some variety.

Some say that having two of one gun for a husband/wife combo is a good thing, because either party can shoot either gun equally well, but then again, variety is the spice of life!

If you don't want another 27 and are happy with the Glock, you may want to look into a 23. Same caliber, a little bigger.

Another option is the Kel-Tec. I just bought one, and while it's not as accurate as my Glock 23, it's a whole lot smaller and lighter than even your 27.

There's nothing wrong with having his & hers G27s. In fact, there are benefits. You can use each other's mags, or even each other's weapons if necessary, no retraining required.

My wife has a SIG P-232, and I have a P-230 (basically the same gun).

Nothing wrong with his-n-hers guns!

Get another G-27. It's what you're used to... an important consideration for CCW.

Thanks for the replies. I am headed to the gun shop to look around some more and see what I kind find.

I presently have the G26 and G27. I have decided I only need one subcompact and that will be the G26. I prefer the 9mm. I am also in the process of a standard going to Glock in my handgun stable namely the G17 and G19 for the most part. I wish to get several of each. The reason being that those model Glocks will last the longest of any handgun IMO and will be able to eat the most rounds. I feel this to be prudent in todays political climate.

At the risk of being considered old fashioned by all the other Glock owners in the neighborhood you might look twice at the Kimber Ultra Carry Stainless Steel in .40 S&W. That would depend if a person didn't want the .45 instead.

My brother in law, who had been a dyed-in-the-wool Glock fan for years tried to buy my Colt Officers Model, which is a different version of the same thing. He REALLY drooled over the Kimber however. :)

If you want another .40 take a look at the Beretta Cougar line. Either get it full size or compact. I have one and like it and I also have a 27. I like the Beretta I believe it's a good gun for the money.
If you want to stay with Glock how about the 33? Same as the 27 but .357 sig.

Glock 23. You can use your G23 mags in your G27. If you want something bigger go for a G22.
