Need Help/Advice on Eddystone Arsenal Conversion

I found a very nice looking P17 Eddystone conversion in a shop today. Everything appears well made, but I have no knowledge of the strengths/weaknesses/pitfalls of P17 conversions. Any help is welcome.

Michael, the P-17s are strong enough for just about any round. They are a pretty common action used for conversions. What was it converted to? George

George,
It has been rebarreld to 375H&H with a Shilen
chromemoly tube at 24 inches. It has the slickest action I've ever cycled on a P17.
Looks like a Fajen stock blank was used, with contrasting forend, and two reenforcing crossbolts. Looks likethe fellow who did this used a Winchester pre64 as a pattern.
All in al a very nice piece of work, and only
$400.00 dollars. think I'll buy it this weekend.
Thanks for the advice. Mike
