To those more knowledgeable than me,

Having a busy schedule i don't have much time to visit
the discussion section on the website.

Read about some of the Dan Wesson revolver comments
and hope someone out there can help me.

I recently purchased a stainless Dan Wesson .357
revolver which I believe is of the interchangable
barrel type. The revolver currently has the short
2-inch barrel, and I would like to find an 8-inch
barrel.

But I really don't know what model I have or where to
find a barrel.

On my revolver, the barrel lug states - 357 Magnum
CTG.

On the frame on the right side below the cylinder it
states Wesson Firearms, Palmer, Mass. USA, 357 S003520

The revolver has a wood grip with rounded bottom, and
a small circle on both sides containing the letters
DW

If anyone could provide info on the model, year, and
where to obtain an 8-inch stainless barrel, I would
greatly appreciate it.

Every "Dan Wesson" website I have tried has resulted
in no usable info. Found some blued barrels on ebay,
but not sure if they are my model type.

any info would be appreciated. If you can't help, do
you know where I might find the info i need?

Thanks,
Robert

The bast advice I have is post a picture. I like DW revolvers and find them to be a good buy. Regards, Richard :D

If the barrel is removable (there is a slotted retaining nut at the end of the barrel on the removable ones) the gun is a 715. There is (or was 4) barrel configurations: std. with rib, vented rib, heavy barrel (lug all the way to the front) and heavy barrel vent rib. Eventually, Dan Wesson revolver may resume by CZ (new owner). Until then I guess try Ebay and the gun auction sites and Guns America to see if any barrels turn up.
