need advice

Welcome to the forum

I don't have my manuals handy at the moment (and am not familiar with the powders you named), but if you look in your manuals, find powders that are close to your target powders in "quickness" and look up loads for those powders in your chosen cartridge.

Good luck.

Case volume compared to powder density

Just find another recipe use a huge variety of recipes on imr Web site literally thousands and it's not some back yard guy paying a sick joke on you and tells you something that blows three of your fingers clean off your hand use on manufacturer recipes never use open containers unless you opened them never shoot someone else's loads especially in your gun if it blows up you lose fingers and a gun this is serious -CENSORED--CENSORED--CENSORED--CENSORED- to play with go to manufacture Web sit and get free load data

If you have checked out the above web site you will have seen that some "equivalents" are shown for AA-2015 and AA-2230 but calibers and powder charges are not shown nor taken into consideration so no "matching" powder charges, should you have some load data, should be attempted. Those are fast burning powders and commonly used with several .22 calibers like the .222 Rem through the .22-250. The 49th Edition of the Lyman Reloading Handbook lists quite a few loads for those two powders as well as a more than adequate selection of other powders for the same calibers. I would recommend that you obtain the Lyman handbook and go from there. The equivalents are definitely not 1 to 1 substitutions for the two AAs.

could someone tell me what powder would be equal to 2015 or 2230 thanks

Depends on what you mean by "equal".

Do you mean "identical" as the the exact same powder?

Then 2230 and Ranshot X-Terminator are Identical powders. There is No "identical" powder for 2015.

If you mean similar in burn rate and similar in form (Ball, Flake, Extruded). then there are several.

Why do you ask? What are you loading for etc?

What ever powder you find that looks to be like the other one still will have to work your load up and go from there.Do not go with the same load as the one you are usen .Always work the load up on new powders and go from there. Also go by what the book say .
