Need advice on Bersa Thunder9

I don't have experience with the Thunder 9 but I just got a Thunder .380 for my wife...and what a great lillte gun for the money! my buddy has a Russian Makarov .380 and we took them to the range yesterday...that little Bersa shoots great...right out of the box...this was my 2nd time shooting it and I like it more each time I take it out...I shot the Bersa WAY better than my buddy's Mak...this is my first experience with Bersa and so far I would reccomend them (Bersa) highly.
Tony.

I live in Argentina where the Bersa Thunder Nine is produced.
The gun is well made, is very reliable, totally ambidextrous,
the safe operates the same way than the 1911, but when is activated
decocks the hammer. This allows you to carry with a round in the chamber,
hammer down, and the safety on. Of course the first shot is in double action.
I think is more comfortable and faster than the Beretta, Smith and Ruger, for example.
the gun I have tested, had fired 6500 rounds without malfunctions or problems.
in my country the price is $380-420.
;) :D

Got my Thunder9 in the mid '90s. I'm not absolutely sure but I think they are no longer being imported. It is somewhat a direct copy of the Walther P88. the only major difference is the frame mounted ambi safety/decocker (as opposed to the P88's slide release/decocker no safety). Bersa manufactures the Mini FireStorm 9 and is imported by SGS Imports. It is essentially a compact Thunder9 with finger grooves on the front strap of the grip.

I had paid $350 for the Thunder9. The Minis are going for well under $300. Got two at $265/ea.

My Thunder9 is a bit more reliablethan my P88 as the Thunder is a bit more loose. I do occasionally get hammer bites from the Mini.
