I have a 1300 12 gauge black shaddow, 28" barrel, smooth bore.

I have yet to shoot slugs out of this thing and need some advice on a site to use for it.

I'm thinking red dot, being that since its a smooth bore i will be taking under 100 yard shots.

I need the site to be able to mount to my gun securely. (obviously, i dont want to have the thing walking/need to readjust every 20 slugs ect)

The price needs to be reasonable i dont have too much $ to spend on it, i just want something better than the bead on front which i dont think i could hit the broad side of a barn with. I'd rather not have a scope either.

So what are my choices red dot and what else?

I'm looking for VALUE not CHEAP.

Thanks :)

anyone else? i was looking at these (pictured below) http://www.truglo.com/content/prod_long_gun_sights/pro_series.asp

I've read a few places about the glowing part falling out? i think most all of the people that said that had them comming out of a truglo front (only) sight.

Anyone had a problem with these things? Would it be a decent choice for a 50-75 yard slug gun?...maybe 100yards but doubtful.
Do they hold their zero? are the mounting points secure? Is the windage/elevation adjustment decent? ect.
