Need a Manufacture date for 25-2

Anyone have a data base for identifying the date of Manufacture by Serial Number?

Seems the S&W site wants 30.00 to tell me when my gun was made so I can change the rear sight to a more Bo-Mar type sight picture.
 
Post the first few digits of the serial number, including any letter prefixes, and I'll look it up for you when I get home.

Sorry I didn't get back to you. Oddly enough, I just did a few minutes ago.

Probably the first 3 or 4 months of 1981, if production continued in smooth increments across the year.
