I must admit I admire engraved arms but I'm afraid I'm such a plebeian that I wouldn't pay extra for the art.

$114 for a coffee table book? Maybe for hard core fans of engraving. Not for me.......I'd rather get socks.

Two hardbound books with beautiful jackets that can be had used and in very good condition are, "The Peacemakers," and "Steel Canvas," by R.L. Wilson. They BOTH can be had for well under 50 bucks on amazon. If you've never seen these big, coffee table style books, they are fine indeed. Old West arms from back in the old days, used by the famous old icons, and the guns and leather used by the Hollywood folks used in the Westerns we grew up with. The photography, stories, anecdotes and descriptions are just great. The used offerings available for these two books are "near" priceless for a father's day gift.
